This month, we'd like to explore the reasons and criteria you used for selecting your pilot site for EHR implementation. We know it can be as simple as size (smaller is thought to be more manageable), a provider champion at the site, service mix at the site, or other physical/geographical factor. Sometimes, however, it's based on a more complex set of reasons or based on less tangible factors such as organizational culture. Perhaps there may have been a more granular approach in starting with one provider or care team in one site. However you approached this rollout, we'd appreciate hearing your story, including what worked, what didn't, things that may have surprised you, and (as always) advice you'd like to share.
