Selection for our Pilot Site was decided mostly because it was a brand new Clinic, 1 Provider with minimal Patient visits, so would have been perfect the EHR Implementation. There have been some struggles along the way, even with a small clinic, fine tuning the database for clinic usability have been a battle. The clinic went live January 6, 2009 with Front Office and Back Office, leaving Pharmacy and Lab Interface to complete, even with the struggles, I have found that prioritizing the work flow and a GOOD team to lead them into the 21st Century was essential.
