Many of you have already received a Call for Presentations for CPCA's second annual Health Information Technology Summit but, just in case you haven't, I'm providing it here:
"Are you interested in presenting a workshop or panel at the 2nd Annual CPCA Technology Summit? This HIT Summit will take place on February 17-18, 2010 in Northern California and is a great opportunity to support the technological advancement of those serving our most vulnerable populations. This two-day summit is designed for Chief Information Officers, IT Directors, and CCHC Executives from across the state to bring together clinics at varying levels of HIT adoption. Each workshop/panel is expected to last 90 minutes including questions and should have no more than 3 presenters. "
With the wealth of knowledge on various aspects of EHR implementation among you, and in light of our recent conversations about dissemination methods, we'd like to suggest that CNEA grantees participate in one or more of these panel discussions, and are open to discussing how we can support you to do that. Similar to the panel discussions at the EHR forum in July, I think Implementation Models would be a great place to start. Your perpsectives on other topics such as Chart Abstraction, Training Approaches, Productivity Modeling and Monitoring, and Clinician Engagement would also be extremely valuable. A partial list of the various conference tracks is listed below to stimulate other ideas you may have.
EMR/EHR Adoption Track
- Engaging Clinicians
- Implementation Models
- Selection and Conracting Best Practices
- Leading IT Change
- Financing/Estimating and Managing Costs/Why Should We Invest?
- Purchasing Strategies
- IT and QI
Workforce Development Track
Funding Strategies Track
We'd like to know if any of you are interested in participting in this forum as a way to share your experience and knowledge. The CNEA program can support your efforts by assisting with the preparation of conference materials, presentations and other documentation and/or facilitating the discussion. Please respond in the comments to this post and we'll do what we can to craft a panel (or two) for the conference. Proposals are due November 20, 2009.
