How Did WE Select Pilot Site for EHR Implementation?

The Children's Clinic made an administrative decision to go-live at all of our clinical sites, including administration (billing) at the same time: December 3, 2008. This decision was made because we partnered with Memorial Care Hospital, who went live five months before us. Our providers were trained at Memorial and already using the inpatient side of the EMR. In addition, the hospital provided elbow-to-elbow support at all the sites. Due to the manpower provided to us, we were able to carry off this simultaneous go-live!
